# Prepaid Wallet

> A prepaid wallet is Ownkube Compute's billing model: your plan loads credit each month and usage draws it down, with unused credit rolling over.

**A prepaid wallet is how Ownkube Compute bills usage.** Instead of a fixed invoice sized to capacity you picked in advance, you choose a plan (Personal at \$5 a month or Team at \$20 a month), that plan loads the matching credit into your wallet, and per-minute usage draws the balance down as your apps run.

Everything metered on Compute draws from the same wallet: [active-CPU billing](/docs/glossary/active-cpu-billing), [working-set memory](/docs/glossary/working-set-memory), egress past the free 100 GB, and build minutes past your plan's included allowance. Reserved boxes, the flat-rate option used for databases and cache, also draw the wallet, just at a fixed rate instead of a metered one.

**Unused wallet credit rolls over to the next month and never expires.** The part of your plan that does reset monthly with no rollover is the included build-minutes allowance, not the wallet balance itself. You can also top up any time from a \$5 minimum. If the balance reaches zero, apps pause with their data retained rather than accruing a debt, until you top up or the next monthly load lands.

Spend limits let you set a monthly budget and choose to just get notified, or have apps pause automatically once month-to-date spend hits the cap.
