// about

A developer platform that lives in your cloud.

Ownkube is a developer platform that runs in your own AWS account. A small team of named agents (Cost, Incident, Scaling, Security) handles the recurring work of a platform team, so a 5 to 20 person engineering org can ship to production without hiring a $200K DevOps engineer.

Why we built it

Most early-stage teams hit the same wall. Heroku and similar managed PaaS products are great until traffic, compliance, or cost forces a move. The next step (raw AWS, an in-house Kubernetes platform, a hired DevOps engineer) is a six-figure detour. We wanted a third path: a managed developer experience running in your own cloud at wholesale rates, with a small team of named agents covering the recurring platform-team work.

The agent roster

Four agents ship with every cluster. Each one has a single job and produces a specific output you can act on.

  • Cost agent: right-sizes workloads, auto-sleeps idle environments, catches spend anomalies.
  • Incident agent: plain-English crash explanations with root cause hints.
  • Scaling agent: replica and spot instance management ahead of traffic.
  • Security agent: IAM drift, exposed secrets, CVE flags on base images.

How we charge

Free Starter tier on one AWS instance. Pay only when you scale to Production, at $5 per vCPU plus $1 per GB RAM per month. Cloud costs go straight to your AWS account, so AWS Activate and GCP for Startups credits burn down efficiently before they expire.

Where we are

AWS today, GCP coming soon. Built by a small team that has run platforms inside Series A to Series C startups and lost too many weekends to crashloop mysteries.

You shouldn't have to trade velocity for control.

Connect your AWS account in minutes. Push code, get a preview URL, and let the agents take ops off your plate.
