Functions (beta): serverless handlers in your own account

Run code on demand without a cluster. Functions attach straight to an AWS account and region, build from your GitHub repo, and fire on an HTTP request or a schedule. Beta.

  • HTTP and cron-style schedule triggers.
  • Node.js, Python, Java, .NET, Ruby, and custom Go or Rust runtimes.
  • x86 or Arm, with configurable memory, timeout, and log retention.
  • No cluster required: provisioned directly into your AWS account.

Public access for managed databases

Reach a managed database from outside your VPC when you need to, with a dedicated TLS certificate and verified connections. Private by default, opt-in per database.

  • Stable public hostname per database with its own TLS certificate.
  • Encrypted, verified connections from local tools and CI runners.
  • Off by default: enable it only on the databases that need it.
